Headshot of Hayley Hollands Wilkins Speech and Language Therapist

Bio

I have always enjoyed working with children, before my life as a speech and language therapist I worked as a teaching assistant and care worker with children and young adults with a range of complex support needs.

I have enjoyed working with a number of amazingly talented colleagues during my time with the NHS. I have over 12 years of experience working in a range of settings, including clinics, nurseries, and mainstream schools.

Myself, my husband and our two daughters have recently been lucky enough to relocate to the Yorkshire Dales. This relocation led to my time with the NHS coming to an end and I now work solely as a private speech and language therapist.

I am passionate about supporting children, parents, carers and professionals in all that is speech, language and communication.

Credentials

I initially completed a BSc (hons ) degree in Psychology before going on to complete a BSc(hons) degree in Clinical Language Sciences (Speech and language therapy).

I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

I am a member of The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP).

It is highly recommended that when looking for an independent therapist that you ensure they are registered with these professional bodies.
